For Immediate Release
MIAMI, FLA – The internationally recognized Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) recertified Camillus House with a three-year accreditation for five integrated alcohol and drug/mental health treatment services we provide. The three-year accreditation is a testament to the quality services provided to our clients in our residential, behavioral health treatment programs, as well as our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services provided to residents in our scattered site permanent supportive housing programs.
After on-site visits by a CARF survey team and a thorough examination of Camillus House’s facilities, services and processes, accreditation has been awarded through May 2026 and represents the gold standard of health and human services. This is the third accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has given to Camillus House. The decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards.
“CARF commends your organization’s commitment and consistent efforts to improve the quality of its program(s)/services(s),” said Brian J. Boon, PH.D., chief executive officer of CARF in an announcement letter. “We look forward to working we you in its ongoing pursuit of excellence.”
Hilda M. Fernandez, CEO states, “As the organization continues to grow, we hope this hard-earned accreditation, which sets Camillus House apart as the go-to homeless service and prevention provider in South Florida, validates the trust the community has placed in us. We are fortunate to be able to make such a positive difference in Miami.”
